All of our columns are made with a hard resin shell coat backed with foam. This gives the columns a very durable finish, great for interior or exterior use. The center of the column is hollow allowing it to be used around an existing pole or post. We also can cut the column and/ or capital in half and pin the two halves for a perfect fit.

The picture above shows a column which has been cut in half and pinned for easy installation. To install, apply a liberal amount of construction adhesive to both halves of the column prior to assembly. Pull the two halves together using a strap or tie, to within approximately 1/8", which about the width of the saw blade that was used to cut the column. Screw the column halves together, and also to the supporting structure. Fill the crack line and any screw holes with automotive bondo and sand smooth.
